The 2025 Summer Institute dates are Thursday, July 10 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M., Friday, July 11 from 8:30 A.M. to 5:15 P.M., and Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:45 P.M. for English Speaking Students. All activities will take place virtually.
The 2025 Summer Institute will be offered virtually via Zoom and Canvas.
Participating in one Summer Institute is a requirement for graduation.
If this is your second year or longer in the program and you have yet to meet the
program requirement of participating in at least one Institute, you are required to
participate in the 2025 Summer Institute to fulfill this graduation requirement. The
prerequisite for attending is completion of or current registration in RES 8100: Nature
of Knowing: Introduction to Research Methods.
Please note:
- If this is your first year in the program and you have not completed RES 8100, you must wait until your second year to participate in Summer Institute.
- If you are a student in the Doctoral Completion Pathway (DCP), you are welcome to attend Summer Institute, but not required.
Yes. Returning Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice Ed.D. students are encouraged to participate and take advantage of the numerous workshops by registering for FSC 8005. Online registration is easy at https://sharklinkportal.nova.edu/
First-Time Students: Registration for FSC 8000 will open on March 31 and close on May 11, 2025; the registration fee is equivalent to 1 credit hour.
Returning Students: Registration for FSC 8005 will open on March 31 and close on May 11, 2025; the registration fee is equivalent to 1 credit hour.

Students registering for FSC 8000 or FSC 8005 will pay a fee equivalent to 1 credit - $1,597.
At the completion of the summer semester, and after verification that attendance and all requirements (concurrent sessions, workshops, assignments, etc.) have been met, a grade of "Pass" will be issued for FSC 8000 (1 credit) and FSC 8005 (1 credit). This final grade will appear on your transcript for FSC 8000 or FSC 8005
