Approximately two months prior to commencement, all eligible candidates will receive an email invitation via their NSU SharkLink account to complete a Commencement Participation Form (CPF) and order a cap and gown (regalia) directly from the NSU Bookstore vendor Oak Hall Cap & Gown. Completing a CPF reserves a space in the appropriate commencement ceremony.
Eligible graduates planning to participate in the commencement ceremony will be required to complete a Commencement Participation Form (CPF) which is to be submitted to the University along with the appropriate non-refundable fee which covers the cost of the standard regalia (cap and gown) and the participation in the ceremony. Note: this is a separate fee from the fee required for the Application for Degree/Diploma. Final instructions regarding commencement day will be provided just prior to the ceremony date to participants who submit the CPF.
Commencement Participation Petition
The FCE Student Commencement Participation Petition Form is for those students in the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice (FCE&SCJ) whose degree is not/will not be awarded prior to June 1.
During the ceremony, graduates will be called to the stage, will be announced as candidates for graduation, and will be awarded a certificate of congratulations. Diplomas are not distributed at commencement.
