The Fischler Academy, located at our Fort Lauderdale campus, culminates with a full-time teaching position in a Florida school while The NSU Teaching Academy is exclusive to education students at our Tampa Bay Regional Campus. As a Tampa Bay student, you’ll receive a job offer in the Pinellas County School District.

A Comprehensive Approach to Student Learning

Harmony is a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Program for Pre-K-6 students, accessible online and at no cost. Harmony fosters knowledge, skills, and attitudes boy and girls need to develop healthy identities, create meaningful relationships, and engage productively by providing SEL learning resources, tools, and strategies. Harmony has district-wide agreements with the top 10 largest school districts in the United States. The purpose of NSU’s partnership with Harmony is to leverage NSU’s relationships with local school districts, disseminating the Harmony SEL program to school district partners for the purpose of assisting in providing digital transformation and Social Emotional Learning.

NSU Army ROTC

The Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice is home to NSU's Army ROTC program. It is a college elective program that develops leadership skills in preparation for military service. The program offers a commission as a Second Lieutenant in either the Active Army or Reserve Forces in a variety of career fields, including Combat Arms, Combat Support, and Combat Service Support branches.
