Students and alumni requesting certification or licensure documentation from the Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice (FCESCJ) should be aware that requirements vary by state and are subject to change. Completion of an NSU program does not guarantee eligibility for certification or licensure in a particular state. Certification and licensure eligibility is determined by the applicable state agency. Students and alumni are responsible for reviewing and verifying current certification or licensure requirements with the appropriate state agency. Professional Licensure Programs
The Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice (FCE&SCJ) offers programs designed to lead to professional licensure or certification. Requirements vary by state and are subject to change. The FCE&SCJ regularly assesses state requirements for professional licensure and certification. Students and applicants to these programs receive information regarding the educational requirements for licensure or certification in the state where they are located.
Students should verify current requirements with the appropriate state licensing or certification agency and remain apprised of their state’s requirements throughout their program of study, as well as when considering relocation to another state. Final eligibility is determined by the applicable state authority based on requirements in effect at the time of application.
