Dr. Ken Rockensies serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the Fischler College of Education, and has primary administrative responsibility for all matters relevant to the academic programs. As a member of the Dean’s Leadership Team, he provides support for the advancement of the College through promoting curricular integrity, program accountability, and outstanding teaching and advising; encouraging innovation in creating educationally purposeful programs, courses and activities; upholding the principles of academic freedom and shared governance; and overseeing the Office of Licensure and Compliance. Dr. Rockensies is also an associate professor in the Higher Education Leadership concentration of the Doctor of Education program, and serves as an Applied Dissertation Committee Chair and Member. He earned his Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Virginia, and holds additional degrees from the University of Kentucky (M.S.) and Stony Brook University (B.A.).
