Dr. Alina Gonzalez has been an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University since 2019. Dr. Gonzalez received her doctorate in Education with a concentration in Human Services Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from NSU and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University.

Dr. Gonzalez has worked in academia for over 24 years in different capacities. She has extensive experience in the field of research administration as well as in the administration of mental health clinics. Dr. Gonzalez’s experience includes the administration of several federally funded research grants at the Center for Treatment Research on Adolescent Drug Abuse at the University of Miami, where she worked for more than 10 years. She joined NSU in 2007 as Director of Clinical Operations at the Center for Assessment and Intervention. She transitioned to other grant administrative positions within the University while pursuing her Master’s and Doctorate degrees. Upon obtaining her Doctorate degree, Dr. Gonzalez joined the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice as an adjunct professor. She is also the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds Grants Director for Broward College.
