Dr. Melinda Coleman is an Educational Leadership program professor at Nova Southeastern University for the College of Education. Dr. Coleman teaches graduate and doctoral courses for degrees in Educational Leadership and serves as a research dissertation chair and member. In addition, Dr. Coleman coordinates the educational leadership clinical internships required for certification and the PK-12 leadership administrative residencies preparing aspiring leaders for today's schools. Her responsibilities include working with the educational leadership department in developing partnerships with the Florida school district's Level 1 Educational Leadership Training Programs.

Dr. Coleman currently serves as a governing board member for the Palm Beach County School District's charter schools. She is actively involved with the University Consortium, Florida Association of Professors of Educational Leadership (FAPEL), and the Educational Leadership Advisory Committee (ELAC). Dr. Coleman previously served as a Middle School Administrator for the Palm Beach County School District, Florida, the Round Rock Independent School District, Texas, and the Mansfield City School District, Ohio. She is a distinguished Martha Holden Jennings Foundation Scholar.

Dr. Melinda Coleman's proven leadership and team-building skills, coupled with the ability to lead strong teams in managing students, parents, and the community are utilized for chairing student research to delineate and analyze district and school educational leadership, organizational management, instructional leadership, and curriculum.
