With over two decades of experience in academia at the post-secondary level, Dr. Carbone is a distinguished administrator and faculty member at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She currently holds the Director of Licensure and Compliance position at the College of Education and the School of Criminal Justice. In this role, Dr. Carbone collaborates closely with senior administration, faculty members, and state regulatory agencies to facilitate professional licensure for the College. Prior to her current role, Dr. Carbone held faculty positions at Miami Dade College and South University.

Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Dr. Carbone actively supports doctoral candidates by providing research advisement and as a dissertation chair or committee member. Additionally, she contributes her expertise as an M.S. in Leadership program professor. Dr. Carbone's impressive track record includes interdisciplinary projects and grants, and she regularly presents her work at national conferences.

Dr. Carbone holds a Doctor of Education and a Master of Business Administration degree from NSU and a Bachelor of Science from the renowned State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. While her professional accomplishments are substantial, Dr. Carbone's interests extend beyond academia.

Recognized as a certified specialist in adaptive yoga, Dr. Carbone has contributed as an expert advisor to the Yoga Alliance's Standards Review Project for accredited Teacher Training Programs. Her dedication to the well-being of veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) led her to receive the NSU Faculty Research Development grant, enabling her to conduct a study on the role of yoga and meditation in supporting their health and healing. Furthermore, she established a community program with a local organization and hospital, providing yoga therapy to veterans and service members.

In her personal life, Dr. Carbone finds solace and fulfillment in her regular yoga practice. Alongside her husband and faithful canine companion, Renzo, she resides primarily in Tennessee, enjoying the peaceful surroundings that support her well-being.
