Terri Mortensen, Psy.D., is an Adjunct Professor at NSU's College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (NSU). She is currently the Child and Family Program Manager at the Faulk Center for Counseling in Boca Raton, Florida. She has taught courses in child protection, case management, family dynamics, counseling techniques, case conceptualization, and childhood trauma. Previously, Dr. Mortensen worked as an in-home family therapist and regional director. She provided family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families with an emphasis on keeping the family together or reunifying the family from an out of home placement. She also worked with adults with severe and chronic mental illness providing individual and family therapy. Dr. Mortensen currently has a part time private practice where she specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
