Timothy Gillette is an adjunct professor at NSU where he teaches numerous courses in the topic areas of Criminal Justice and Organizational Leadership. Prior to teaching at NSU, he concluded an exciting 36-year career with the Broward Sheriff's Office where he served in numerous command positions to include Police Chief, Executive Director of the Department of Law Enforcement, Executive Director of the Department of Professional Standards, and Director of the Institute for Criminal Justice Studies. He has earned a doctorate degree in both Organizational Leadership and Higher Education Leadership from NSU, a Master/Science degree in Human Resource Management/Public Administration from St. Thomas University, and a Bachelor/Science degree in Journalism from the University of Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute's Administrative Officer's Course and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police instructed at Boston University. He has been published through the United States Department of Justice and the International City and County Managers Association. He is also a recipient of the NSU “Outstanding Doctoral Graduate Award” and the NSU “Distinguished Dissertation Award.”
