Nova Southeastern University’s fully online Master of Science (M.S.) in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology prepares educators, education professionals, and learning professionals to design effective learning experiences and improve teaching and learning. The program develops expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, assessment, learning theories, educational research, and educational technology. This program does not lead to teacher certification or state licensure.
Designed for working professionals, NSU’s flexible online program can be completed in as little as 18 months. Through a research-informed curriculum, you’ll develop practical expertise in curriculum planning and implementation, instructional design, assessment of learning, technology integration, and educational research. You’ll learn to create and improve curriculum, design engaging instruction, evaluate teaching and learning practices, use assessment data to inform educational decisions, and integrate digital tools, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies to support instructional goals. An applied professional experience provides an opportunity to integrate and apply your learning, while coursework explores transformative trends in education, including artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, evolving educational models, and changing workforce needs.
Graduates may pursue opportunities in K-12 schools, higher education, educational organizations, corporate learning environments, workforce training, and other settings focused on teaching and learning, with roles such as curriculum specialist, instructional coordinator, instructional designer, instructional technology specialist, and other education- and learning-focused positions. Some positions may require state certification, licensure, endorsements, professional experience, or other credentials. Employment and credential requirements vary by state and employer. This program does not lead to teacher certification or state licensure.
