Adjunct
I came to Nova Southeastern University in 1984 as the parent of a preschool child with disabilities who was attending a specialized program at the Family Center Preschool. I had a graduate degree in special education so in 1986 I became an NSU employee, supervising a growing program for children with disabilities. After 34 years developing and administering a number of programs for children and young adults with autism, I left NSU as a full-time staff member and joined the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council. My current position is as the Chief of Programs and Research, where I have the opportunity to oversee systems change projects and advocate for improving the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
