Accreditation

Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Accreditation 

The Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice (FCE & SCJ) is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).This accreditation covers the following initial teacher preparation programs: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education - ESOL/Reading Endorsements and Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education - ESOL Endorsement. The accreditation also covers the following advanced-level programs: M.S. in Reading Education, Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, M.S. in Educational Leadership, M.S. in School Counseling, and Psy.S. in School Psychology. 

Florida Department of Education (DOE) Accreditation

The Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice (FCE & SCJ) holds continuing approval from the Florida Department of Education (DOE).  Included in this approval are the following programs:

  • B.S. Elementary Education with ESOL/Reading Endorsement 
  • B.S. Exceptional Student Education with ESOL Endorsement 
  • B.S. Secondary Biology Education 
  • B.S. Secondary English Education with ESOL/Reading Endorsement
  • B.S. Secondary Math Education

NSU Accreditation

Nova Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s, educational specialist, doctoral, and professional degrees. Nova Southeastern University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
