Dr. Sidi M. Lakhdar is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Exceptional Student Education at Nova Southeastern University. He has been working in the field of special education for more than 35 years and has had extensive experience working with special education students of different ages and abilities. His educational interest is in the field of bilingual special education. He is interested in the role language and culture play in the education of children with disabilities who come from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Dr. Lakhdar has taught and trained special education teachers in various countries, including Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Greece, Spain, France, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. Dr. Lakhdar is fluent in French, Arabic, and English.
