Sylvia Klein, Ed.D. is an Adjunct Professor at the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with her Doctoral Degree in Education. She completed her Doctoral Dissertation and Practicum at The Bertha Abess Children’s Center with children with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities. She also holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Carlos Albizu University. She completed her Practicum at Bayview Center for Mental Health, where she assisted women with emotional difficulties and psychological disorders. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Boston University. She now works at the university level in the area of Teacher Education Preparation in Special Education. In addition to being an Adjunct Faculty at NSU, Dr. Klein works as a Mentor and Life Coach for women in the area of personal development to achieve goals to improve their quality of life. In the area of service, she volunteers in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Program at South Miami Hospital.
