Professional Interests

Careshia  N.  Moore  teaches  several  courses  pertaining  to  child  welfare  and  the  legal aspects  of  programs  for  children  and  youth.    As  an  attorney  licensed  in  Florida  and Georgia, Ms. Moore has practiced family law, education law and dependency law.  Prior to practicing law she worked as a site coordinator for a juvenile diversion program and worked as a public school elementary teacher.  Ms. Moore received a certificate from United Way’s Volunteer  Involvement  Program where she became adept at non-profit board activity.  She is active in the community as an  advisory  board  member  for  United  Way,  Henry  County  Education  Task  Force member and founder of Girls of Ithaca, a mentoring program for middle school girls. Ms. Moore received her law degree from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, Gainesville Florida.  She received a Master’s of Education and Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Florida.
