The Department of Curriculum and Instruction meets the needs of aspiring teachers and school administrators, veteran educators who want to deepen their knowledge of a subject, and those seeking careers in education-related fields. Guided by current research, our programs serve pre-service and in-service teachers and others working in a variety of educational contexts and a range of academic fields. Degree programs provide opportunities to connect theory to practice through engaging instructional practices.
Programs at the undergraduate level and select graduate programs lead to teacher certification in a variety of content areas. Graduate programs have diverse offerings for those interested in advancing their knowledge and careers. As leaders in their fields, faculty members in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction are known for their scholarly work, research-oriented activities, and student-centered approach.
