The Autism Endorsement Program at the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Fischler College of Education is designed for practicing educators with a license in special education who are working with autistic children in Nevada. The program focuses on understanding the needs, assessment, and intervention of students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The courses in the program meet the Nevada Department of Education’s licensure requirements for a teaching endorsement in autism, and can only be added on to a teaching license in any exceptional student education area. - Completed admission application packet, including a $50 nonrefundable application fee made payable to Nova Southeastern University
- Official transcript indicating conferral of a bachelor’s degree by a regionally accredited institution (2.5 minimum cumulative grade point average required)
- Official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions
- Valid Nevada Permanent teaching license

Coursework for the Autism Endorsement Program, state approved in Nevada, is available online and at NSU’s Nevada Campus. The online delivery option allows students to receive and submit coursework in their special education classes and interact with participants and professors via the Internet. The site-based delivery option for the endorsement program allows students to take classes in the evenings or on weekends in locations near their homes. These distance education options allow international students and busy professionals to complete their programs without having to leave their jobs or travel long distances.
Faculty members for the master of science in education are scholars and educators from Nova Southeastern University and other major universities and institutions throughout the country. In addition many are also highly respected professional practitioners, who are carefully selected on the basis of their subject expertise, teaching abilities, and professional involvement. Most importantly, they are united in their desire to not only educate, but to inspire students to use what they learn to motivate others.

The Autism Endorsement Program, state approved in Nevada for certification, meets all requirements of the Nevada Department of Education’s autism endorsement, and can only be added on to a teaching license in any exceptional student education (ESE) area.
